History of yaganti:
Sri yaganti uma maheswara temple is live at kurnool district in andhra pradesh in India. Temple was established at 15th century by King harihara bukka raya of vijayanagara empire.He installed statue of Lord shiva. They is another history of yaganti temple ie; before install the Lord shiva statue ,agastya planned to build a temple of Lord venkateswara on this land.
Unfortunately at the time they could not installed lord venkateswara statue because statue of the toe nail was broken.The agastya was upset over this and he did penance for lord shiva to appear to him,atlast lord shiva appeared to him.it is one of the famous temple in andhra pradesh.
Every year in february month maha sivaratri festival will come , for this festival lakhs of devotees come to yaganti from all over andhra and another important things is agastya installed nandi statue in front of Lord shiva.it is day by day increasing size,if you want know reason of that read "knowledge of times" book written by Sri potuluri veera brahmendra swaymy. He wrote about the yaganti temple of nandi statue that is nandi statue come alive and shout loudly then kaliyuga ends.
